Vũ Nguyễn Nam Khuê lives in Ho Chi Minh City. His graduation film Mirror Man (2016) in the UK has been selected for S-Express 2017. In 2021, his first feature project was selected by Locarno's Open Doors Consultancy. A lost astronaut and a city of footprints (2022) was officially selected for competition at the Festival International du Court Métrage de Clermont-Ferrand 2023 and Festival International du Film de Fribourg 2023.

He is a member of Lucteam Theatre and a collaborator at the Education Department of Vietnam Television.
