BEBBRA MAILIN

Born and raised in Sabah, Bebbra Mailin has been involved in a number of well-received short film productions in Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia. Actively making documentaries and short films, her short films have been featured in Japan, the Philippines, Australia, Bangladesh, South Korea and several local film festivals. Her latest short film, Ninavau won Best Short Film at the Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFEST) 2019. Currently, she is working on her debut feature and lecturing at the College of Creative Arts, UiTM.

ABDUL RASHID BIN SALLEH

A versatile professional in the entertainment & sports broadcasting industry, Rashid Salleh brings a wealth of experience to the table.
Having been in front and behind the camera with some of the industries finest, he understands the pressures that comes with the career in the Arts, TV, Film & Broadcasting Industry.

NANDITA SOLOMON

Nandita draws inspiration from Southeast Asia’s rich heritage and dynamic future, with an aim to shape distinctive stories and unique characters within films that bridge the local and the global.

Nandita had produced a range of critically acclaimed Malaysian feature films, documentaries and video art installations that have all been screened and sold internationally. She has participated in
international programs including Locarno Open Doors Producers Lab, EAVE Ties That Bind and Crossing Borders, and has presented projects at international markets and forums such as Hong Kong’s HAF, Focus Asia Genre Market in Udine, Bucheon NAFF IT Project Market, Singapore’s SAFF and Docedge Calcutta.

Nandita has served on the jury of the Jogja Netpac Asian Film Festival (2019), Freedom Film Festival (2019), and as a mentor for the Singapore SEA Film Academy 2020.

Nandita is the co-founder of independent film production company Apparat, which produces bold and game-changing Malaysian films have been picked up by Universal Pictures, HBO Asia, Shudder
and Netflix, and are regularly screened at community-organized events around Malaysia.

SARBINI HAJI HAMDAN

Established SMG in 2018  and operationalized the first state owned TV station, known as TVS, in one of the fastest execution in the broadcasting industry, within months of acquiring its license. As of Dec 2021, TVS has garnered 8.1mil unique audience through the Astro platform. 

Previously identified as a top talent in TM Bhd, he was subsequently appointed as the Swk State General Manager and has won numerous recognitions in his career and continues to enjoy organizational setups and transformations.

NURUL NABILA BINTI SHOHIMI

Nabila Shohimi is currently the Program Manager in EcoKnights as well as the Festival Manager of the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) – one of EcoKnights’ flagship programmes. She has been with EcoKnights since 2016. She graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia with a B.Sc degree majoring in Environmental Biology with a minor in Psychology and is now pursuing Masters of Sustainability Science in Universiti Malaya with interest in food security, science communication, indigenous knowledge, policymaking, public health and environmental education.

Since the pandemic, Nabila spearheaded KLEFF’s digital screening – KLEFFLix and a few digital workshops as part of EcoKnights’ shift in project digitalization. She then became the project leader of Project BUMI in ASEAN COVID-19 Active and Robust Response (ASEAN CARES) 2020/2021 with ASEAN Foundation.

NOVA GOH

Born and bred on Borneo Island, Nova Goh went to Taiwan in 1999 to study Visual Communication at National Taiwan University of Arts. During his stay in Taiwan as a foreign student, he was influenced by the promising growth of the indie-movie scene and started to become involved in various short-film- making projects. In 2008, he went back to Borneo to begin “The Red Rain on the Equator”, his first feature-length documentary. 

Nova is now a seasoned documentary filmmaker. His works have been featured in Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival. His documentary features “The Last Ring Ladies”, was co–produced by NHK, KBS & PTS respectively and is now being released globally. “The Love of Tapang Tree”, was selected by Japan’s Yamagata Dojo, Indonesia’s Doc by the SEA and Switzerland’s Visions Du Reel.
