The Border Town

Two mysterious men appear at the Budo Mountain. They draw lines within houses, communities, schools, temples, markets which eventually deprive the people of their basic rights to their lands. Now it's time to reclaim them.

Teerawat Mulvilai

Teerawat Mulvilai is a co-artistic director of B-Floor Theatre. He is a versatile theatre artist, who is also a performer, a dancer, and a director of physical theatre. His works combine fine arts and performing arts, seeking to critique society and politics, addressing injustice, violence, and structural problems that impact people’s lives. He is hailed as one of the most critically and socially conscious directors of our time.

In 2012, he was honored with Piti Silp Santi Dhamma Awards for his outstanding and continuous work that promotes peace, democracy, and justice. He also has numerous experiences in international collaborations with various artists. Recently, he has co-directed the final work of 3 years [2016-2018] collaboration between ฺ-floor Theatre and Seoul based physical theatre group; Momggol theatre and won IACT Awards 2019 for Best Art direction, Best Movement-based Performance, and Best Performance by Ensemble. In 2018 he was chosen for the Silpathorn Award for Performing Arts.

Nathanich Chantharojwong (Nat) is the director of the animated short film "Opened," her thesis film from the Communication Design program at Chulalongkorn University. She currently works as a storyboard artist at an animation studio in Bangkok, Thailand.

A girl from a remote area has visited the metropolis for the first time, but she isn’t prepared or at least knows what she will experience when she has to go out of her mother’s house.

Jatupol Kiawsaeng

Jatupol Kiawsaeng graduated from Chulalongkorn University. Their style of filmmaking has an emphasis on social commentary with suspense-toned storytelling. ลับแล (in plain sight) has been awarded at Global University Film Awards (GUFA) 2022, Hong Kong. It also recently won 'White Elephant Award' at the 26th Thai Short Film and Video Festival. Their thesis film 'นางอาย' (a girl who walks alone at day) was well-received as well.

Pobmek Junlakarin

 

Pobmek is a Thai filmmaker graduated from Chulalongkorn University. He’s directed and edited more than 15 short films during his studying. His thesis short film "Friday Saturday Sunday” is one of the three Thai films selected in 18th Osaka Asian Film Festival. Currently, he works as a producer at White Light Studio, a part-time video editor and a screenwriter.
